Medicine Festival

Illustrated Map and Programme

Medicine Festival needed a fully illustrated site map creating for their 2024 festival. With fully hand drawn elements accurately depicting the various tents, stages, bars, walkways and points of interest - the map was a highly detailed birds eye view of the festival itself.

Once completed they then needed a festival programme designing - complete with listings, information on their charitable endeavours and the site maps. The programme also features the beautiful artwork by Scarlet Butters.

What I did:
• Illustration
• Map Design
• Iconography and wayfinding
• Graphic Design
• Programme design
• Typography

Each and every element on the map was drawn by hand and then treated digitally to retain the ability to edit.

From main stages, to tipi’s, individual trees to food vendor vans. Song circles, stretch tents, bars and yurts! All the background trees and grass elements where also hand drawn. Giving the piece a rustic, real world feel - befitting the deeply conscious and earthy festival itself.

The printed programme’s cover features the beautiful artwork by Scarlett Butters for the festival’s 2024 theme ‘Carry Peace’.

The programme itself includes details on the festivals theme, vision and mission. As well as their charitable endeavours, important festival information and plans for the future.

The inner pages graphic design was brought to life with various graphic devices, iconography, patterns and the use of two colours. Sitting comfortably with the map design and creating a visually unified piece.

Sebs a breath of fresh air to work with - Quick, super friendly, incredibly responsive, patient, and artistically impeccable. I’ll continue to recommend him to anyone and everyone seeking a designer
